Cooper - A seven-year old Italian Greyhound in NV

Seven-year old Italian Greyhound in NV needs a new home

Cooper was adopted by his current owner approximately one-half year ago. Unfortunately, his new family is faced with an unexpected move out-of-state and cannot take Cooper with them. So, Cooper needs a new home that will be forever. Cooper, who weighs about eleven pounds, is housetrained and without accidents as long as he is taken out on a consistent basis. He will also use pee pads when he has to be left alone. Cooper tends to walk nicely on leash, although he does not like bicycles and can be a bit dominant with certain dogs. This guy is a real sweetheart and loves to hug! He is also a good little watch-dog, but except for barking at cats, does not bark unnecessarily. If you would like to share hugs with Cooper, please contact Italian Greyhound Place.

Italian Greyhound Place is pleased to have arranged and facilitated the adoption of Cooper to an experienced Italian Greyhound home in NV where he will have the loving companionship of humans along with an Italian Greyhound friend. Cooper was adopted on 11/21/10!

Galaxy and Minny - Four-year old Italian Greyhounds in IA

Two Italian Greyhounds in IA

Due to a change in circumstances and an imminent move, these two, sweet girls are in need of a home together. Galaxy and Minny both turned four this past January and are fairly easy to care for. They are active outside, but tend to relax when inside and especially love to do so under blankets. Both love to be held and cuddled and, although they do not fight, they do get jealous of each other if one is getting attention. They do exhibit some timidness, but are not too skittish; walk nicely on leash; love to travel in the car; are good with children; are scared of most large dogs and, depending on the cat, scared or curious; and are quiet, only barking when another dog comes into their yard or when playing with each other. Galaxy and Minny are housetrained and will "go" when being walked or outside in a fenced area. They are accident free when someone is home and if crated when left alone; if left alone with freedom, they will have accidents. They like to be crated together. If you would like to help Galaxy and Minny stay together, and would like to be the recipient of their love, please contact Italian Greyhound Place. (Listed here 9/24/10)

Italian Greyhound Place is pleased to have facilitated and arranged the adoption of Galaxy and Minny to a wonderful, Italian Greyhound loving couple in Kansas. These two girls have joined the couples three other Italian Greyhounds and will have lots of companionship. Galaxy and Midnight were adopted on 10/16/10!

Oliver - A six-month old Italian Greyhound puppy in FL

Italian Greyhound puppy needs a new home

Oliver is a terrific puppy and his owners would not part with him if they did not have to move into accomodations that do not allow dogs. This handsome boy, born on February 18, 2010 and currently weighing twelve pounds, is very playful with quite a bit of energy! When he needs to be left alone, his current owner gives him interactive toys, including a stuffed Kong, to keep him busy. Oliver is doing very well with housetraining - he goes on pee pads, as well as outside - and rarely has an accident. He is good on leash, enjoys playing with other dogs, is fine with children once he knows them, and loves to play outside and go for walks. Oliver learns quickly and responds to, and obeys, a firm voice. As with many Italian Greyhounds, Oliver is shy with strangers. If you are looking for a wonderful Italian Greyhound puppy, please contact Italian Greyhound Place. (Listed here 10/5/10)

Italian Greyhound Place is pleased to have facilitated and arranged the adoption of Oliver to a wonderful man in Florida who was looking for a special companion! Oliver was adopted on 10/11/10!

Lulu - A one-year old Italian Greyhound mix in TX

Lulu was seen running around a neighborhood for about one week before she was taken in by a neighborhood resident who has vetted and cared for her. This person has four dogs of her own and Lulu is in need of a forever home where she will be loved and treasured.  This little girl, approximately fourteen pounds, is a real sweetie and loves to snuggle and rub her little head in the crook of your neck. She also loves burrowing under covers and playing with toys that rattle (she throws them up in the air, chases them, and throws them again). Lulu is housetrained - she uses a doggy door to go in and out. However, she seems to be afraid of the dark and, if not crated at night, will occasionally have accidents. Lulu walks nicely on a leash. She is good with other dogs and loves to play with them. If you would like more information about Lulu or are interested in providng her with a forever home, please contact Italian Greyhound Place. (Listed here 7/20/10, updated 9/30/10)

Italian Greyhound Place is pleased to announce that Lulu has actually been in her forever home - yes, she is staying with her "caretaker" and four canine companions! (10/7/10)

Piccolo - A one-year old Italian Greyhound in OK

An Italian Greyhound for adoption in OK

This twelve pound, male Italian Greyhound, who turned one this past August 27th, is full of energy and loves to run and play. Piccolo's  current owner has had back surgery and is facing more than three months of recovery, followed by additional surgery, and is unable to give Piccolo the care and attention that he needs. Therefore, Piccolo is in need of a new home. Although he is an active boy, Piccolo is also very sweet and enjoys lap-time and cuddling.  He loves children and other dogs, but is not overly fond of cats; he doesn't harm cats, but likes to bark at, and chase, them.

This striking boy walks very nicely on leash and likes to go out in public, actually going up to, and being friendly with, strangers. He also enjoys going places in the car. Piccolo will use pee pads inside and will also go outside, however, he does mark, so some close supervision will be required at first and, perhaps, some bellybands. His neutering may also help. Piccolo does not do well when crated; if put in one, he will cry, bark, and scratch to get out. If you are looking for a sweet, active, playful Italian Greyhound, please contact Italian Greyhound Place. (Listed here 9/20/10)

Italian Greyhound Place is pleased to have facilitated and arranged the adoption of Piccolo to a wonderful woman in OK who is ready to provide him with lots of love, attention, and exercise. Piccolo was adopted on 9/26/10!
